Vertigo

As graphic storytelling matured and began to reach out to broader audiences, Vertigo was created in 1993 as a venue for material of an edgier, more sophisticated nature. Many of today's most provocative writers and artists, including Neil Gaiman, Brian K. Vaughn, Warren Ellis, Gilbert Hernandez, Peter Milligan, Grant Morrison, Paul Pope and Brian Azzarello, have found a creative home at Vertigo. Among the award-winning series published since the imprint's inception are SANDMAN, Y: THE LAST MAN, TRANSMETROPOLITAN, 100 BULLETS, PREACHER, FABLES and HELLBLAZER.

There are now a plethora of comic books that can be read in full online, completely legally (at least, 99% of them) and at absolutely no cost. Here I have endeavored to collect as many of these as possible, now totalling over 300 full issues and stories, in one place.

I'm Jim Munroe, a novelist who left HarperCollins to showcase and propagate indie press alternatives to Rupert Murdoch-style consolidation. This site is a launching pad for the stuff I make, articles about how to make them, and a source of my two main food groups: inspiration and feedback.

ChucK is a new (and developing) audio programming language for real-time synthesis, composition, performance, and now, analysis - fully supported on MacOS X, Windows, and Linux. ChucK presents a new time-based, concurrent programming model that's highly precise and expressive (we call this strongly-timed), as well as dynamic control rates, and the ability to add and modify code on-the-fly. In addition, ChucK supports MIDI, OSC, HID device, and multi-channel audio.

Encoding data file within an ascii art!
pictureworthsthousandwords.appspot.com/, posted 2009 by peter in art design graphics hack security text
ASCII art is nothing new, but this takes it one step further by allowing you to embed another data file within the image!
The resulting ASCII art remains printable (i.e. no special unicode symbol) - this means you can print the image out, hang it on your wall, and have it look like an innocent ASCII art when it's hiding a secret document of your choice.
